Tal's work deals with moments that often go unnoticed and capture tensions that exist in seemingly mundane situations.
To find her desired composition she creates it on 3d modeling programs that enable her to reimagine social interactions. Through this, she can look at the situation from the outside, as an invisible ghost passing through, looking from angles that could never exist. Getting the opportunity to move the figures around, changing the composition to enhance the feelings of uncertainty.
Her paintings are made with oil colors on fabric, with great attention to the technical process of the painting and the making of the color pallet. The brush stroked change from fast and emotional to cold and calculated, contrasting the two, creating a worm yet bizarre feeling to the paintings.
Tal's compositions include a few figures, looking at one another, and looking at the viewer, creating kind of a net of eye contact moving the viewer from one character to the other. Some social interaction of a group of humans, some of groups of insects, and many are of one figure, insect or human, looking at the viewer.
